After more than 13 years in business and business management, Michael's interests and talents led him to specialize in Financial Planning and Wealth Management. He learned from some of the best during his tenure with Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney, a member of Citigroup. Michael has been using his life experience and his experience in the financial planning industry over the last 13 years to help clients navigate through 2 major recessions and market downturns. In 2003 Michael left the confines of the large brokerage firms and partnered with Commonwealth Financial Network, an independent Broker Dealer and is the founder of Green Leaf Financial.

Michael is FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed and holds his Life, Health and Long term care insurance license with the State of Oregon.

Michael is not only devoted to his family and clients, but to his community as well. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Eugene Metro FC, a club soccer organization offering exceptional soccer to ALL youth in our community.

Michael has served on several Non-Profit Boards over the years and  has been extensively involved at his children's schools, serving on boards and committees to improve and enhance the students educational experience. Additionally, he has served as Honorary Chairman for the National Business Advisory Council and on the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce Local Government Affairs and  Economic Development councils.

In his free time, Michael enjoys cooking and a variety of outdoor activities with his family, including golf, running, tennis, hiking, fly-fishing, and coaching. Michael lives in Eugene with his wife, Sheri, and their two children, Zach and Hannah.
